We develop agents of change.

An agent of change is:

  • Proactive
  • Adaptable
  • Bridge builder
  • Socially responsible

Methodology

The young people are welcomed in an inclusive and warm environment. Good food and a good atmosphere set the stage for good group dynamics, new friendships and learning.

The program is based on interactive workshops. They are interdisciplinary, with a background in various subject areas such as self-management, positive psychology, communication techniques, peace education, art and culture and the sustainability goals.

Results

The young people point to better self-confidence, respect across opinions, belonging to their local community and increased community involvement.

We have also been a door opener to the labor market for many of the participants.

As Agents of Change, the young people become ambassadors for the causes of their hearts. They get platforms to express themselves, and are connected to decision-makers in the public and private sectors. Through participatory processes and reverse mentoring, they get the opportunity to innovate, share insights and influence.

Alumni network

After graduating from the academy, the young people are followed up in a one-year program which consists of regular meetings and follow-up. The topics covered include leadership, health, technology, economy, rights and culture. The change agents gain a holistic understanding of society, structures and career opportunities, and opportunities in the form of courses for course holders, internships, as well as participation in conferences and cultural events.
